There are many who say, " I follow Jesus." or "I will follow Jesus wherever He wants?" He even calls some to follow Him. Yet with their mouth they say they will follow Him but the time is not quite right or once they make the commitment with their mouth they look back on what they have or could have had and they give up and return to their old life. Sometimes people renege on their word to the calling on their life and return after placing their hands on the metaphorical plow. Jesus say in Luke 9:62, "...No one, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God."
How often we have been ashamed of the gospel and Jesus gave us the eternal life by His brutal death? How often have we been disobedient to praying or witnessing to someone because of doubt, fear, and unbelief?
The question is, "After deciding to serve Jesus have you regretted your decision?" Now, ask yourself this question, "Are you fit for the kingdom of God based on Luke 9:57-62?
Let's evaluate our heart in our love of Christ Jesus. Have we fallen out of love with Him? Or, did we ever fall in love with Him?
