Preparing the Body of Christ
Jesus said in Luke 12:35, “Let your loins be girded about, and your lights burning;" Jesus is saying that He is expecting us to continue at our post of assignment.
36 And ye yourselves like unto men that wait for their lord, when he will return from the wedding; that when he We should continue at our post and wait until you are relieved from your post.
Also we see Jesus is returning “FROM” the wedding not “FOR” the wedding. We must wait for His arrival and be ready to let Him enter. He will come at a mid-night hour when everyone will be sleeping cometh and knocketh, they may open unto him immediately.
37 Blessed are those servants, whom the lord when he cometh shall find watching: You will be blessed if He finds at the door when He arrives. Verily I say unto you, that he shall gird himself, and make them to sit down to meat, and will come forth and serve them.
As a reward of your faithfulness of waiting on Him, He will serve you dinner and He will be the servant of the servants.
38 And if he shall come in the second watch, or come in the third watch, and find them so, blessed are those servants.
The Second watch is from 9PM to 12AM. Third watch 12AM to 3AM. Is it possible Jesus will return between the second and third watch at the midnight hour? You will be blessed if you are at your post waiting for Him. The Father does not schedule an appointment for His son’s return because God want to see if the faithful remnant servants will endure to the end in what they had been tasked to do until His return.
40 Be ye therefore ready also: for the Son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not.
The Father will have his son return when the world least expects it. However, those wise servants will be waiting at the door for His arrival from the wedding.
42 And the Lord said, Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom his lord shall make ruler over his household, to give them their portion of meat in due season?
The steward, the person entrusted to maintain the property and resources of the kingdom for which Jesus gave charge. Jesus promises in verse 36 that He will serve the faithful servant their meal of meat as a reward for being faithful at their post of duty of the ruler’s house.
43 Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.
Jesus will serve a meal to his faithful servants from the ruler’s table. You will be full of the meat from the King’s table. This appears to be the marriage supper being Jesus is coming from the wedding which appears to be in heaven according to verse 36. According to Jewish wedding traditions, the marriage is consummated prior to the wedding feast.
49 I am come to send fire on the earth; and what will I, if it be already kindled?
The word “FIRE” could mean, according to Strongs: Jesus wants to send fire to destroy the earth if the fire was already started. Or Jesus wants to send the Holy Fire upon God’s people for their testing and bringing the kingdom of God, if it were time.
50 But I have a baptism to be baptized with; and how am I straitened till it be accomplished!
Jesus is focused on baptizing with the Holy Ghost fire for demonstrating the power of God.
Matthew 3:11 – 12 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance. but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire: 12 Whose fan is in his hand, and he will thoroughly purge his floor, and gather his wheat into the garner; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire
51 Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division:
There will be great divisions among people and families over Jesus and other religions to include the worship of the beast and his image.
Luke 12: 54 And he said also to the people, When ye see a cloud rise out of the west, straightway ye say, There cometh a shower; and so it is. 55 And when ye see the south wind blow, ye say, there will be heat; and it cometh to pass. 56 Ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky and of the earth; but how is it that ye do not discern this time?
They can predict the weather but they cannot see the prophecies being fulfilled before their eyes. This is how it will be at the Second Advent or coming of Jesus when He establishes his kingdom on earth. We will see the signs mentioned in the Word and yet, people will be deceived and will not be able to see the signs of this coming in order to be waiting at the door for the Lord of the Servant’s return to the Ruler’s house.
57 Yea, and why even of yourselves judge ye not what is right? 58 When thou goest with thine adversary to the magistrate, as thou art in the way, give diligence that thou mayest be delivered from him; lest he hale thee to the judge, and the judge deliver thee to the officer, and the officer cast thee into prison. 59 I tell thee, thou shalt not depart thence, till thou hast paid the very last mite.
Jesus want us to reconcile with him so He does not take to those disobedient ones to the Judge (God). God finds those guilty that are brought to him and He will turn them over to the prison guards, who are the angels who guard over hell. They will pay for your sins for eternity for your crimes against their declared enemy, Jesus. Get right with Jesus and ask for His forgiveness so that you are not judged and turned over to the verdict of guilt and punishment of hell, fire, and gnashing of teeth. Repent, be faithful, and endure until the Lord returns so that you are rewarded by Him.forgiveness so that you are not judged and turned over to the verdict of guilt and punishment of hell, fire, and gnashing of teeth. Repent, be faithful, and endure until the Lord returns so that you are rewarded by Him.
